Sebastien Marc, alias COLORZ's Biography

Born in 1972, SÈbastien Marc, alias
COLORZ, has acquired his ´Lettres
de Noblesseª in the French urban art culture through assiduous practice
on the French and international urban scene.
For twenty-five years, walls, trains and palisades were his medium of expression.

Considered as a major reference in French graffiti, COLORZ has developed its work on a wide range of materials (canvas, wood, aluminium, plexiglass). His style is both explosive and restrained. He gets his influences from the burstling street energy that he translates with an abstraction of colours that draws unexpected urban landscapes.
Since 1987, COLORZ has been iking its tags and graffiti on the walls of Paris and its suburbs. Very quickly, his omnipresent signature made him a key player in the French graffiti scene.
He became famous in Athens, where he became the first tagger to hit the walls of the metro. He gained instant notoriety.
Amsterdam, New York, Hong Kong and Jakarta will also have their walls sprayed with the artistís tags.
Originally these simple graffiti, his visual vocabulary evolving into elaborate compositions where the colour and treatment of the wall becomes more complex.
Nowadays, the artist devotes himself exclusively to his work.
His unique style makes him recognizable by his energy and vibrancy.
